Based in New York, Nathan is the Associate Vice President for Government Relations at Columbia University, where he helps shape the university's approach to federal policy issues affecting higher education. His work with Farm Life Market focuses on analysis and coordination—not lobbying or political advocacy.

Before joining Columbia, Nathan worked as a political analyst at the Japanese Consulate in New York, conducting research and providing insights on U.S.–Japan relations. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree from the University of Chicago.
