His Eminence Ambassador Patrick M. Reid is a respected scholar, humanitarian, and community leader with a distinguished career in science, public health, and social development. A graduate of Rutgers University, Newark, he holds dual degrees in Zoology and Physiology and began his career as an Advanced Biology teacher before joining the New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ), where he conducted research on Lyme disease and the HIV/AIDS Dementia Complex.

For nearly two decades, Ambassador Reid served as a Research Specialist and Faculty Member at the Global Tuberculosis Institute, collaborating with the CDC and New Jersey Department of Health to shape global tuberculosis control programs. His leadership helped pioneer new strategies—such as Directly Observed Therapy (DOT)—that significantly reduced tuberculosis and drug-resistant strains worldwide.

An entrepreneur and business strategist, he is the President of STL Real Estate and Investment LLC, providing innovative solutions in real estate, investment, and project financing. He also holds an Executive MBA from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), specializing in Management of Technology.

Deeply committed to community empowerment, Ambassador Reid serves as President of the East Orange Chamber of Commerce and sits on the boards of several organizations, including the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey, where he is a founding member. Through philanthropy, scholarship programs, and cultural initiatives, he continues to uplift communities across the U.S., the Caribbean, and Africa.
